FVB Energy Inc.  is a full-scope District Energy engineering firm specializing in Low Carbon District Energy systems (DES), Energy Master Planning, Steam-to-Hot Water Conversions, Combined Heat and Power (CHP), and low-carbon and renewable energy solutions. Established in North America in 1980, FVB brings more than 40 years of study, design, installation, and operational experience based on successful systems across North America.  Our geographic reach is extensive and brings broad perspectives from work in 38 US states, 12 Canadian provinces and territories, and 21 countries.  


Over the past 40 years, FVB has been involved in the majority of District Energy Systems built in North America and have successfully worked with many communities, Municipalities, Private organizations, Utility companies, Universities and Educational Campuses to design and optimize their DE systems.  FVB's only business is consulting on DES, and provides a unique combination of planning, business, and technical skills, and a range of experience in North America and around the world.  FVB has been at the forefront of energy innovation since the first North American office opened, completed hundreds of studies, and have helped start over 50 District Energy Systems in North America.
